OA Chapter Elections Sunday at Camporee

For my Eagle Project, I’m doing a book drive which will benefit the children
of Anthony Bowen Elementary School. Bowen Elementary is in an economically
disadvantaged part of Washington DC, and as of 2005, only 39% of the
students were at their grade level in terms of reading test scores. I
believe that the reason for this is that they do not have much in terms of
books that are available for the children to read.

So now I need your help! If you have any new or like-new children’s books
(appropriate for grades K-6) that you have no use for, please donate them to
my book drive. There will be a box in the Scout Hut starting this Tuesday,
and it will be there until May 25th. If anyone is unable to bring them to
the Scout Hut, I can arrange to come pick them up at a time which is
convenient for you.

“Groups of 15 or more pay $32.95 (Ages 3-61 AND 48” and taller) & $23.95 (Ages 3 & up AND under 48″ tall /ages 62+ ). You will receive 1 free ticket for each 25 tickets you purchase. Bus parking is free and drivers get in free.”
